St Andrew's has adopted the Emmaus Programme - an approach to spiritual growth and personal development for both new and 'experienced' Christians. It enables us to offer you a path that you can follow towards a greater understanding of the Christian faith. Hopefully it will allow you to have your own encounter with God and to develop your own faith.
Emmaus provides the framework and inspiration for a number of courses at St Andrew's including:
"Getting Started" - this is a simple course lasting 5 weeks and introducing the fundamentals of the Christian faith.
"Finding the Way" - an exploration of the Christian faith, designed for those who are new to the Christian faith and for those who already have an established faith.
"Moving On" - a series of study and discussion evenings, designed for those who have a more established faith and want to develop further and explore more deeply what it means to be a Christian. Details of courses and meetings are published in the church's weekly notices, and also watch the Diary for details on House Groups.
The Emmaus Programme is not just a course, or series of courses, but an approach to spiritual growth. For more information click here.
St Andrew's runs parenting courses on an occasional basis. These courses deal with general issues of parenting in a relaxed and very practical way, and use material produced by the Family Caring Trust.
